something new

Journal Entry: Sat Dec 6, 2008, 11:31 PM
I have been neglecting my dA account for a few weeks now, but I have made it through my messages and about half of my devWatch today. Theres a lot of good stuff still left in it to comment on tomorrow.

Things are going pretty well. Work is pretty fun and chill, only now I have quite a bit of time off due to the troubles in the banking industry. Whether or not this time can be harnessed in a productive way that doesn't involve an Xbox remains to be seen.

I was chilling with a friend of mine yesterday and we made pizza. It turned out crazy-go-nuts good. Maybe I should just start a pizzeria out of my apartment. I could serve it to the tourists on the Amtrak trains that roll past every day.

On the subject of things that are of surprisingly high quality. One of my laptop's hinges came loose the other day and made closing the screen a little annoying. Luckily I was able to pry the plastic cover off, and tighten the screws that hold in the metal hinge bit and now it works perfectly. Didn't even have to shut it down! Try that on a macbook.. pfff you'd have to send it back to the factory for 6 weeks and they'd charge you a million bucks to tighten the screws with a special wrench made from orphan bones.

As I have made a habit of posting interesting videos, here is something new to watch.

It's a sort of lego/animation/fashion/music mash up. I saw it on facebook a while back and liked it. I'm sure it has been around on dA before, but I haven't seen it linked, so there.

This is also pretty cool.

Using a special patterned robe to use the power of the sun to tan a pattern on to your skin. It would be less useful on people like myself who just burn at the first thought of going outdoors.

the tan thing you mean? yeah seems pretty simple.. a lot of people just do little stickers and what not.
:iconsargeras:
haha.. yeah.. generally less beautiful when it gets bad.. blisters in a pattern would be kind of gross.
:iconcursedbycharm:
yea I meant the tan thingie. I remember it happened to me once, when i was wearing a shirt with holes on the sleeves. I was so embarassed

I'm more intrigued by this pizza you speak of.
What kinda toppings?
And what DO you do, Greg? I always thought you were an art student.

-I'm like a kiwifruit. Only, not as hairy-

they were pretty basic, mozzarella, tomatoes, red peppers and a blend of parmesan, romano and asiago cheese.

i used to be a student, though i graduated about a year ago. currently, i work as an in house designer for a company that consults with people to start banks.

Haha
Mozzarella, parmesan, romano and asiago... That's FOUR different types of cheese!!
And I used to think Pizza Hut's triple cheese pizza with cheesy crust sounded hazardous.

hehehe

four is like the minimum amount of cheeses to use.. i remember working at domino's i once made a seven cheese pizza. the meaning of the word cheese has to be expanded to include 'cheese flavored products' in that case, but it was still delicious.
